Johansson is 'surprised' at how rude people can be.
The
27-year-old actress - who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds - admits she
is sometimes shocked when fans put a camera in her face when she is trying to
enjoy a private moment and believes being famous can bring out the worst in
those around her.
She said:
'I'm constantly surprised by how rude people are. You'll be having an intimate
dinner with a friend and there's somebody on the table behind with a
cameraphone pointing at your face. I think, 'I would never take a photo of
someone without asking.'
'I'm not
traumatised by it but I find it can bring out the worst in humanity sometimes.'
Discussing
her career - which has seen her nominated for four Golden Globe awards -
Scarlett claims she does not 'actively look' for sexy roles but thinks curvy
women can sometimes be pigeonholed into such parts.
She told
The New Review: 'I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I most
admire. I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell
thing.
'It's not
like I actively look for sexy roles. It's not a requirement that my character
be pretty and delicate. I never think about my character being sexy unless
that's written in.'

The stunning star has been showing off her finely
honed curves in a tight-fitting costume as Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow in the
Marvel superhero movie. There has been much buzz surrounding Scarlett's
figure-hugging attire in the film and the actress has joked about its one
saving grace.
"When you're training that much to fight and
training that much for strength, the result is, you can fit in a catsuit! When
you've had months and months of training, you feel pretty confident I
suppose," she told British magazine Closer.
"It was comfortable. Everybody talks about
it being so unbelievably revealing, but at least it wasn't made out of patent
leather!"
Scarlett's role in Avengers Assemble is a
high-octane one. The 27-year-old star has joked that her "sexy"
status goes out of the window when it comes to action-packed scenes.
"I totally lose control of my face! When you
see a pack of giant 6ft. 7ins. stuntmen coming after you with huge staffs,
you're just like, 'Argh!'" she exclaimed.
