Michael Jackson returned to his familly for funeral

The body of Michael Jackson has been released to his family for burial, a Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman said on Saturday, after an autopsy failed to immediately determine what killed the troubled pop star.

Michael Jackson

Members of Jackson's family are gathering at his parents home which is in suburban Los Angeles. They gathered for the funeral of the "King of Pop". His sudden death on Thursday dominated worldwide headlines and touched off two days of tributes from fans.
No funeral plans have been disclosed to the public.

Coroner's officials have said that with no outward signs of trauma to Jackson's body or evidence of foul play, they would have to wait for the results of toxicology tests and other studies to establish a cause of death.

Speculation has centered on Jackson's use of prescription drugs and reports that he was injected with the narcotic painkiller Demerol shortly before collapsing at his rented mansion in a Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old entertainer was in full cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived, with his personal physician, identified as Dr. Conrad Murray, trying desperately to revive him.
Police towed Murray's silver Mercedes from the driveway of the home where Jackson died, saying they wanted to search it for evidence and medication, and have sought to arrange further interviews with the Houston-based cardiologist.

Few details were released about the autopsy's findings, but Fox News reported on its website that investigators found his body to be healthier and stronger than they had expected with some scarring on the face.

TMZ, citing family members, said Jackson received a daily shot of Demerol, a narcotic painkiller, and that the family believed his death was caused by an overdose of the drug.

A senior law enforcement official told ABC News that Jackson was "heavily addicted" to the painkiller Oxycontin and was injected daily with that medication, along with Demerol.

Facing a battered reputation and a mountain of debt that The Wall Street Journal reported ran to $500 million, Jackson spent the last two months of his life rehearsing for a series of London concerts that were seen as a make-or-break comeback for the man who dominated the pop charts in the 1980s.

Transformers Revenge of The Fallen

The film opens with a short prologue narrated by the voice of Optimus Prime. It depicts primitive human beings in the year 17,000 BC hunting a tiger, only to be interrupted by the appearance of a giant Transformer. In the background, more Transformers can be seen constructing a gigantic device before the scene fades to black.

Two years after the events of the 2007 film, the Autobots alongside the British and American military have joined forces to form an organization named NEST to combat the Decepticons hiding out on Earth. Optimus Prime leads NEST into Shanghai, China, to eliminate Decepticons Demolishor and Sideways. He is joined by newcomers including Arcee, Sideswipe, Jolt and the twins Skids and Mudflap. Sideswipe kills Sideways with the help of Arcee and the twins, and Optimus and Ironhide kill Demolishor but not before the Decepticon utters that the Fallen will "rise again". American National Security Advisor Galloway berates the Autobots and NEST, suggesting that the Autobots leave. While Optimus does agree to this if the President of the United States of America commands this, he questions what will happen if the planet is left defenceless. Soundwave, a Decepticon intelligence officer, hacks into a satellite and discovers the location of Megatron's corpse and the location of a piece of the AllSpark, the source of the Transformers' existence. Soundwave deploys his minion Ravage to retrieve the shard, which he succeeds in accomplishing. The Constructicons and a surgeon-robot named Scalpel revive Megatron. Megatron flies to a Decepticon spacecraft where he is reunited with air commander Starscream and the Fallen, Megatron's master. The Fallen intends to destroy the Sun and Earth in the process.

Sam Witwicky heads off to college in an attempt to live a normal life. Whilst packing, he finds another shard of the AllSpark which fills his mind with ancient Cybertronian text. The AllSpark fragment also brings kitchen equipment to life, although they are destroyed by Sam's guardian Bumblebee. Sam entrusts the shard to his girlfriend Mikaela, who hides it in her father's safe at a motorcycle garage. Decepticon Wheelie tries to steal it, but is captured by Mikaela. At college, Sam meets his roommate Leo Spitz who runs an alien conspiracy website, and a girl named Alice who makes disturbing advances on Sam. Sam begins to constantly see Cybertronian text, writing it on everything, and has a mental breakdown in his astronomy class. Mikaela comes to Sam's aid, just as he is nearly killed by Alice, revealed to be a Decepticon Pretender. Mikaela disposes of Alice, but Sam, Mikaela and Leo are confronted by Megatron, Starscream, Grindor and Scalpel. As Scalpel prepares to dissect Sam's brain to get information on the location of a new energon signal, Optimus and the other Autobots arrive. Optimus takes on all of the Decepticons killing Scalpel and Grindor but is severely wounded by Megatron, entering stasis lock. The Decepticons invade the planet, the Fallen demanding that Sam be surrendered. Meanwhile, Galloway shuts down NEST, and Sam's parents are captured by Rampage in Paris.

Sam, Mikaela, Leo, Bumblebee, Wheelie and the twins escape being captured and Leo suggests seeking the help of his website rival "RoboWarrior", who is revealed to be former Sector Seven Agent Simmons. Simmons reveals his hidden archive of alien research and explains the history of the Transformers on Earth. It is explained by Wheelie that the language Sam sees is of the Dynasty of Primes, the original thirteen Transformers, who powered the AllSpark like a battery by destroying suns. Wheelie leads the group to Jetfire, an old Decepticon called a Seeker who defects to the Autobots, along with Wheelie. Upon learning the situation, Jetfire uses a space bridge to teleport the group to Egypt. He explains that the Primes used the suns to power the AllSpark by using machines called Sun Harvesters, which were powered by the Matrix of Leadership. However, the Fallen betrayed them, and sparked the war for the AllSpark. The other Primes defeated the Fallen and then killed themselves to seal away the Matrix, the tomb hidden somewhere in the desert.

Through clues, the Matrix is found in Petra but it crumbles to dust in Sam's hands. Nevertheless, Sam piles the dust into his sock. Simmons contacts Major William Lennox and his troops and asks them to bring the Autobots and Optimus' corpse to Egypt so Optimus can be revived, a Prime being the only one capable of killing the Fallen. The military arrive but so do the Decepticons. Leo, Simmons and the twins face off against Devastator, the combined form of several Constructicons, who scales a pyramid to uncover the Sun Harvester. Devastator is ultimately destroyed by a rail gun round fired from a nearby destroyer on Simmons' orders. Bumblebee rescues Sam's parents, and kills both Rampage and Ravage. Aerial reinforcements are summoned, killing Long Haul, Scrapper, and Hightower. However, Sam is caught in the attack and is severely injured; in his unconscious state, he has a vision of the Dynasty of Primes.

Sam reawakens, telling Mikaela that he loves her just as the Matrix regenerates, and Sam uses it to revive Optimus; however, before Optimus can be fully revived, the Fallen travels through a space bridge and takes the Matrix back out of Optimus' spark. After killing Mixmaster Jetfire fights and kills Scorponok, but is mortally wounded, so he gives up his own spark and parts to Optimus, giving him the strength to destroy the Sun Harvester and kill the Fallen. Megatron and Starscream make a tactical retreat. The film concludes with Optimus proclaiming that the Transformers and humans now share an untold history and will combine their differences.

At present Angelina Jolie is the most powerful celebrity in the world

Superstar actress and humanitarian advocate Angelina Jolie has unseated talkshow diva Oprah Winfrey as the world's most powerful celebrity in a new survey published by Forbes magazine Wednesday.

Explaining that the magazine took into account earnings as well as fame, Forbes senior editor Matthew Miller said: “In addition to nearly doubling her earnings in the past year, from $15 million to $27 million, Angelina Jolie is the most famous star on the planet.

The top ranking is based on income over the past 12 months as well as web references, press clippings, broadcast mentions and major magazine covers devoted to the celebrity, Forbes said. Oscar winner Jolie, 33, one half of the Hollywood golden couple dubbed "Brangelina" with Brad Pitt, earned 27 million dollars between June 2008 and June 2009. Her earnings and "famous face," Forbes said, were enough to dethrone media maven Winfrey, who earned 275 million dollars.

“She is in the dialogue of popular culture nearly every day - for her acting, for her relationship with Brad Pitt, for her children and for her philanthropic endeavours. All of this exposure leads to an extremely powerful celebrity brand - one that allows her to command a higher salary when starring in movies, can bring more people to the theatre and one that she can monetise further if she chose to do so.”

Jolie, who came in third last year, is known for balancing her movie career and work as a goodwill ambassador for the UN refugee agency with her ever-growing six-child family with Pitt.

In third place was pop legend Madonna -- absent from last year's top ten -- whose tabloid antics and hit world tour "Hard Candy" boosted her profile and earned her 110 million dollar, the magazine said.

Jennifer Aniston – who endured a high-profile split from John Mayer earlier this year - polled eighth after making $25 million, beating her ex-husband Brad who finished ninth with $28 million.

Barack Obama is the first US President to ever appear on the list, coming in at number 49.

Angelina Jolie’s worldwide fame and earnings of $27 million last year have seen her top the Forbes magazine’s annual Celebrity 100 Power List poll.

Newlywed couple HEIDI MONTAG and SPENCER PRATT end "I'M A Celebrity"

Newlywed couple _ Heidi and Spencer Pratt said they're bailing, and they like really, really mean it this time.

At least twice already, they had quit and un-quit "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" But the bratty newlyweds, who star on MTV's "The Hills," were seen taking what's presumably their final leave on the Tuesday edition of the NBC competition series - only its second night.

The couple was seen walking from the survival show on Monday night (01Jun09) and The Hills stars appeared to have returned to Los Angeles.

The couple's representative says, "Heidi and Spencer are still in the jungle and part of the show."Montag and Pratt were part of Tuesday night's (02Jun09) show, even though Pratt explained to his fellow contestants, "Super-celebrities don't belong in the jungle. They belong in Hollywood with the paparazzi."

"We're gonna miss you guys," Heidi told the not-so-super-celebrities they were ditching. "But call us when you get back to LA."

At the end of the hour, viewers were invited to cast their votes to eliminate one of the women contenders (with Blagojevich granted immunity for now). The results were promised for Thursday's show.

"I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" drew 6.4 million viewers for Monday's debut, according to Nielsen Media Research. It continues through Jun 24 on multiple weeknights

New In Town

There's a cinematic urban myth that if the coming attractions don't look promising, the movie you are about to watch won't be any good, either. New in Town proves that the same is true for DVDs. I knew this movie was going to be just as bad as everyone said it was when I had to sit through an extended trailer for a direct-to-DVD Christmas movie starring Jared Padalecki before getting to the main menu.

I can't recommend New in Town to anyone looking to enjoy a charming romantic comedy, or an accurate portrayal of the hard-working, salt-of-the-earth people of southeastern Minnesota, or a feminist manifesto on how to thrive in both white- and blue-collar environments. This movie is none of these things (although it really, really seems to think it's all of them). Renee Zellweger's pinched features have never looked more irritated than they do here, as she treks from Miami to Minnesota to take care of some corporate mumbo-jumbo at a food plant that is the livelihood of an entire small town. (I'm convinced it's not the cold that's bothering her, it's the script.) She butts heads with a scruffy-cute union rep played by Harry Connick Jr. until they get tired of hating each other and decide to fall in love instead. (I've seriously never seen a rom-com make the enemies-to-lovers switcheroo so abruptly or undeservedly before.) There's also some nonsense about an annoying secretary's tapioca recipe saving the factory from shutting down. (This movie would have you believe that tapioca runs through the veins of all Minnesotans.)

But all that's not to suggest that the New in Town DVD is of no use whatsoever. It's the perfect DVD to rent if you're looking for a new drinking game to try. Take a drink every time you spot a rom-com cliche (that's one for when the hero rescues the drunken heroine when her car gets stuck in the snow bank, another for when the heroine is the only one qualified to help the hero's tomboy daughter prepare for her first date). Drink twice every time you see an acclaimed character actor embarrassing themselves with a fake Minnesota accent (one for Francis Conroy, and a double shot for J.K. Simmons). Drink again every time the movie suggests successful career women lack any kind of common sense outside the boardroom (that would be pretty much every scene where Zellweger isn't in a boardroom). And I'd say drink every time any of the townspeople says or does anything "folksy" that comes off annoying, but you wouldn't even make it through the first scene.

Special features include cast and crew commentary, a bunch of (rightfully) deleted scenes, a making-of documentary that consists of the cast and crew patting themselves on the back for surviving the shoot in a Winnipeg winter without complaining about the cold, another doc on the making of the requisite tapioca food fight, and a feature on scrapbooking -- just in case you haven't gotten enough sentimentality and faux-folksiness from the film.

Jennifer Hudson is going to be mom

A longtime family friend confirmed that actress and singer Jennifer Hudson is several months pregnant.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the Oscar and Grammy-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson, 27, is several months pregnant. A small baby shower with family and friends was held over the weekend in downtown Chicago in a relatives home, reported MTV.com.

The reports came after Hudson postponed recent concert tour dates claiming vocal cord strain. She also was seen at public appearances wearing tops with loose waists.

Jennifer Hudson

If the baby shower report is accurate, the event would have been a welcome Chicago change for Hudson. The Sun-Times said the "Dream girls" star left Chicago in the wake of the 2008 killings of her mother, Darnell Donerson; her brother, Jason; and her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King.
